We purposefully avoid sector specialists and ensure that similar stocks are covered by different analysts. This promotes positive dialogue, the generation and sharing of ideas and brings a diverse perspective to each investment decision.
Chairman and Chief Investment Officer
Peter is the Chairman, Director and the controller of Seilern Investment Management. Peter has been active in the financial services industry since 1973 when he joined Creditanstalt-Bankverein in Vienna. He served as an institutional portfolio manager with Hambros Bank Limited between 1979 and 1986. In 1986 he joined Notz, Stucki and Cie, Geneva and London, where he managed private client portfolios until 1989.
Michael Faherty, CFA
Analyst and Portfolio Manager
Michael is a Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager. As a member of the Investment Team, he is responsible for conducting fundamental research for companies within the Seilern Universe, as well as prospective additions. He joined Seilern in 2016. Prior to that, he worked in the US Equity team at J.P. Morgan Asset Management and at J.P. Morgan Chase as a graduate analyst. Michael holds a Law degree from University College Cork and a Masters degree in Finance from Trinity College Dublin. He is a CFA charterholder.
Analyst and Portfolio Manager
Fernando is a Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager. As a member of the Investment Team, he is responsible for conducting fundamental research for companies within the Seilern Universe, as well as prospective additions. He joined Seilern at the beginning of 2014. Prior to that, Fernando worked as a fund selector for Lazard Wealth Management in Madrid. He obtained undergraduate and master’s degrees in business management from the Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros and a second master’s degree in portfolio management from the Instituto de Estudios Bursatiles in Madrid. Fernando is fluent in English and Spanish.
Corentin Massin, CFA
Analyst and Portfolio Manager
Corentin is a Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager. As a member of the Investment Team, he is responsible for conducting fundamental research for companies within the Seilern Universe, as well as prospective additions. He has been with Seilern Investment Management Ltd. since 2013. Corentin graduated from Reims Management School in 2011 with a degree in International Business. He then completed a Masters in Finance at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Reims in 2012 (ESC Reims), graduating with honours. He is a CFA charterholder. He is fluent in French, English, and Spanish.
Head of Research
Tassilo is the Head of Research for Seilern. As a member of the Investment Team, he is responsible for conducting fundamental research for companies within the Seilern Universe, as well as prospective additions. Tassilo joined the firm in 2010 as an Analyst for Stryx Europa, and took over the management of the Stryx Europa fund in July 2014. Tassilo is a graduate of Trinity College in Dublin (BA Hons in Philosophy and Political Science) and holds a Diploma of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. Tassilo is fluent in English, German and Spanish.
Chief Executive Officer
Jean-Michel is a Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Seilern Investment Management. He joined Seilern Investment Management in 2014 from ABN AMRO, where he was the Head of their Commodity Exchange Traded Derivatives Brokerage business. Prior to that, he worked at Mizuho Securities, as the Head of Sales for Europe, as well as holding several commodity trading and management roles. He started his career in physical commodity trading with the French Sucres et Denrées Group. Jean-Michel brings over 35 years of experience in financial services. He has been a trade advisor to the French government, has held several directorships in financial business, including on the board of the London Clearing House, and he has been the Chairman of associations in commodities and Franco-British relations. He is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Strasbourg) and holds a Master’s degree from the EM Strasbourg / IAE. Jean-Michel is also the Compliance Oversight Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer. Jean-Michel is fluent in English, French, and German.
Peri is the Company Secretary and Finance Officer of Seilern Investment Management. She joined Seilern in May 2017 from Ernst & Young LLP, where she was an audit manager within the Wealth and Asset Management department; specialising in hedge funds, investment trusts, wealth managers and private banks. Prior to that, Peri had worked in two small and medium size audit firms, Wilder Coe LLP and Price Baily LLP, starting Wilder Coe LLP as a school leaver. In Wilder Coe LLP, she trained and passed the AAT and ACA exams, becoming a full member of the ACA in September 2012. Peri has around 10 years’ experience in accounting and audit, and over 3 years specialising in the Financial Services sector.
Head of Business Development
Cassie joined Seilern in 2015 as the Head of Business Development. Prior to working for Seilern, she spent five years at BNP Paribas, both in New York and London, heading up the marketing efforts for several product lines, from Fixed Income to Equity and Commodity Derivatives. She started her career at Goldman Sachs, as a sales analyst within their Securities Division. Cassie holds a Bachelor’s of Science in both Finance and Accounting from Villanova University in Philadelphia.
Fatima Mya Al-Ajami
Fatima is a Project Manager at Seilern Investment Management. Her role covers projects on the operational, marketing and compliance functions within the team. Prior to joining Seilern, Fatima worked in the charity sector and started her career in the client services team at Barclays Bank. Fatima obtained her BA in Middle Eastern Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies graduating with honours, and obtained a master’s degree in Politics at the University of London. Fatima is fluent in English, Arabic and Swahili.
